Small Fry is a social enterprise that creates economic opportunity for young people and small businesses in under resourced urban communities.

We created a virtual apprenticeship program and online marketplace that matches the digital skills of low-income youth with the marketing needs of local small businesses. Youth gain relevant skills, build portfolios, and earn income while being exposed to multiple business functions and industries. Change Management Consultant. AHA Bolivia.

​September 2010 - August 2014

 

AHA Bolivia is an ethical manufacturer of high quality alpaca and cotton knitwear based in Bolivia; employing over 150 traditional artisans and exporting to the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Facilitated design-thinking workshops with staff and home-worker artisans to uncover areas of internal cultural breakdowns as well as pain points along the production chain. Guided teams in ideation to address challenges and coached the company throughout the systems-change implementation phase.

Engaged in business development to expand export partnerships, including creation of digital content. Managed artisan projects with new clients, guiding them through unfamiliar territory.

Business Process Consultant. Proyecto Horizonte.

Proyecto Horizonte is a community development initiative in Bolivia that takes a holistic approach to development by providing the community with a 600-child school, day care center, medical center, and micro enterprise incubator.

Engaged in process mapping via ethnographic research, interviews, and review of historical documentation; made recommendations for organization structural redesign. Authored manuals and trained staff on online marketing procedures.

GGP is a fair trade organization working with social enterprises in over 20 countries around the world to bring their handmade products to markets in the U.S.

Engaged in organizational strategic planning to position GGP for growth and increased impact. Created systems to effectively communicate with clients, manage procurement and sales channels, and capture financial performance. Evaluated and on-boarded new social enterprise partners to diversify product range and create a stronger and more consistent partner portfolio. Coached global social enterprise partners to deal with unfamiliar export, communications, design and quality practices.  Managed a wide variety of projects including building a CMS-based website, content creation, purchasing plans, financial management, and partner interface.
